Experience Sharing Cases

Since 2002, the Gender Mainstreaming Checklist has been applied to various policy or programme areas. Staff of many bureaux and departments has also applied the gender mainstreaming concept in the course of their daily work.

The bureaux and departments comment that the use of the Checklist could:

  • enhance officers' awareness and sensitivity to gender issues;
  • help them receive useful comments and suggestions from women's groups; and
  • identify important areas for attention through sex-disaggregated data.

A. Policy and Legislation

B. Provision of Services
